Learning and healing through song
Music is the soundtrack of our lives, and is the key to health and happiness.
The founder of Songwave, Megan Keene's, mission is to create better, stronger community through sharing music together in harmony.
One of the programs Songwave offers is non-auditioned inclusive community choirs, designed for everyone.
No experience in singing is necessary, just a willingness to sing, play and create harmony together with like minded people in a fun and supportive environment.
SoundConnection choir has been described as "the best part of my week" and "a time for just me" our members have also told stories about how coming to choir has changed their lives.
Some of our members have gone from
novice singers to singer songwriters, who are now a part of a band, and perform and share their music with others.
From hiding in the shadows, to singing solos, and really expressing themselves through music.
Music has many health benefits, and has been used by many of our members as an anti-depressant, a way to improve breath, speech, and a place to find your true self.
Songwave also offers one on one tutoring for vocal care, improving your singing voice, beginner ukulele, and healing through song.
We also offer one on one bedside singing for your loved ones, to ease pain and bring peace at end of life stages..
As well as vocal therapies for the aging voice, musical companionship and a full band for special events
Stay tuned for up and coming workshops and events.
